We give talks and workshops to schools, parents, coaches, administrators, and other professionals. While we value our one-time talks and workshops, for some programs and organizations an ongoing consultative relationship is desired. In these situations, we may schedule a series of meetings over time to evaluate programs and help initiate change.

Talks are typically given in the evenings. They are very interactive and involve an extensive question and answer period. Power Point, video aids, and case scenarios are central. These evening talks are given for approximately 45 minutes with a 45 minute Q & A period to follow.

Work shops are either 3 and ½ hours (HALF-DAY) or 6 and ½ hours (FULL-DAY). These workshops include extensive dialogue among leader and participants, short group exercises, occasional role-play, Power Point and video aids, and handouts. Frequent Q & A throughout.

Overseeing the Sporting Culture:
Challenges and Solutions for Athletic Administrators and Professionals

Administrators and athletic professionals are spending increasing amounts of time managing difficult and demanding parents. Complaints include problems with the coach, playing time, favoritism, practice and game schedules, and many others. The demands to manage parents while juggling the infinite responsibilities that come with running athletic programs are making it increasingly difficult just to keep up and focus on the development of athletes and teams. In this workshop, participants will review their program mission statement, coach training, pre-season letters about athlete, coach, and parent conduct as well as crisis management.  The focus will be to help participants establish a strong game plan with solid contingency plans to free up time and reduce agony that inhibits many programs. This workshop will be interactive and will address “real life” problems and dilemmas with the anticipation that participants will develop their own unique game plan. Videos and Q & A. (Full or Half/Day).
